As we get older, respiratory tract infections, or RTIs, become more of a concern. Our bodies don’t prevent or respond as well to these infections as they once did, which means even a common cold can turn into a serious health problem.
Because RTIs are a leading cause of hospitalization among senior adults, it’s important to research medications that may help prevent respiratory illness associated with RTIs. If you’re 65 or older, doctors at Meridien Research would like to talk with you about participating in a research study of an investigational drug for the prevention of illness associated with RTIs.
To be eligible, you must be 65 or older and not be a current smoker or live with someone who smokes inside the house.
Study participants may receive study-related visits, tests, and drugs at no cost. To learn more, please call Meridien Research at 407-644-1165 or complete the form below.
