Lakeland, FL – Meridien Research has relocated their Polk County research clinic to 2135 Harden Boulevard, Lakeland, FL 33803.
The new clinical research unit is 10,000 square feet and houses eight exam rooms. It holds new state-of-the-art equipment including -20 and -70 degree freezers, interpretive ECG machine, locked temperature controlled drug storage area and an on-site laboratory.
“Our new location is more central to Polk County and is more than double the size,” said Wesley Van Ever, Meridien Research’s Lakeland Site Director. “Our current and future patients and staff will appreciate the facility upgrade and we can now perform an even wider variety of studies. Our in-house classroom space will allow us to conduct more ADHD studies, including those with pediatric focus.”
Meridien Research’s Lakeland office employs all staff required to successfully run clinical studies including a site director, principal investigators, regulatory specialist, recruitment specialist, research coordinators, lab coordinator and front desk coordinator. It is also supported by Meridien Research’s central resources including business development, patient acquisition and study startup.
The new Lakeland site is located off FL-570 and is convenient for volunteers from Plant City, Highland City, Auburndale, Bartow and Kathleen. Meridien Research is currently enrolling volunteers for studies of Alzheimer’s disease, ADHD (adult and child), constipation, fatty liver, gout and low testosterone.
