Meridien Research taps Tricia Rampersad as new Contract and Budget Manager

Tricia Rampersad, MPH, CPH, has been promoted to Contract and Budget Manager at Meridien Research’s Corporate Office.

Tricia joined Meridien Research’s business development company, Insearch, in 2016 as a Site Business Development Specialist. While there, she worked with pharmaceutical companies (Sponsors) and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to place medical research studies with study sites throughout the United States.

Prior to joining Meridien Research, Tricia was a Clinical Trial Administrator and QA Auditor with Hill Top Research in St. Petersburg, Florida. She also worked in research at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and the University of South Florida. “I have five solid years in clinical trial research,” she explained. “I have been on the opposite end of contracts and budget negotiation from the Sponsor and CRO perspective and have seen the various ways you can negotiate a budget for a sites’ ultimate benefit.”

Meridien Research CFO Dawn Hackney is excited about Tricia’s new role with the company. “Tricia has a positive attitude and thrives in a team environment. In this position, both traits are key,” Dawn explained. “She also has a Master’s in Public Health and clinical research experience, which makes her ideal for the job.”

Since Tricia was already an employee at Meridien Research, she will be able to quickly get up to speed with her new role. “Tricia already has knowledge of the company and culture,” Dawn said. “She has already proven to be a valuable asset and has earned the respect from her peers.”

“The Contract Manager role within the organization is a pivotal position,” Dawn continued. “We are confident that Tricia will succeed in her new role.”

Tricia graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor degree in History / Anthropology. On the weekends, she can be found with her husband and young daughter exploring Tampa Bay area attractions and restaurants. She is a true renaissance woman with a plethora of interests to include travel, music, dance, art, gardening, and books to name a few.
