Meridien Research adds new Principal Investigators at Bradenton clinic

Meridien Research is continuing to grow with the addition of two new Principal Investigators, Drs. Vinod Bhatnagar and David Scheiderer, at our Bradenton clinic, 8043 Cooper Creek Boulevard.

Researcher Vinod BhatnagarVinod Bhatnagar, MD, is a Geriatrc Psychiatrist and joins Meridien Research’s Bradenton clinic. He has more than 20 years of clinical research experience – focusing on Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment and schizophrenia. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at King George Medical University in India.

Dr. Bhatnagar has been a national speaker on dementia for several major pharmaceutical companies. He was also an assistant professor in geriatric psychiatry at the prestigious University of Western Ontario. He is board certified in general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.

“Dr. Bhatnagar brings many years of experience – private practice as well as clinical settings — for geriatric psychiatry,” said Meridien Research Site Director, Colleen Figueroa. “Dr. Bhatnagar has been the Principal Investigator in many pivotal studies for Alzheimer’s research, so he is excited to re-enter into the Alzheimer’s clinical research field as well as broaden his experience with various psychiatry studies for adults and adolescents.”

Researcher David ScheidererPsychiatrist David Scheiderer, MD, MBA, DFAPA, has also joined Meridien Research’s Bradenton clinic as an Investigator. He has been involved with clinical research for more than a decade and has worked on studies for ADHD, anxiety and migraines. He earned his Bachelor of Art from Kent State University and his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Scheiderer has more than 30 years of a diverse education and experience in clinical psychiatry. He is a known speaker and gives lectures throughout the year.

“Dr. Scheiderer will be another great asset to our site,” Colleen continued. “He is well established in our community and is well-versed in many different indications in psychiatry, as well as all age groups. This opens the doors to mental health studies for children and adults.”

By adding proven psychiatrists at that clinic, we are able to add new volunteer opportunities for Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, bipolar depression, anxiety and more,” Carlos E.
