Tony Busa has served in a management capacity in the clinical research provider industry for more than 25 years. He has worked for major central laboratories, late phase CROs, early phase CROs, bioanalytical laboratories and late phase site organizations throughout the United States including Scicor (Covance’s Central Laboratory Group), Covance Corporate, Esoterix, dgd Research (Diabetes Phase I, II and III) and WCT Early Phase and Bioanalytical Services Group.
Andrew J. Cutler, MD, Chief Medical Officer is board certified in both Psychiatry and Internal Medicine and has been conducting clinical research since 1993 at the University of Virginia, the University of Chicago and since 1996 in Central Florida. Dr. Cutler also speaks to professional and community audiences about the evaluation and treatment of mental illnesses such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder (Manic-Depression), Major Depression, Anxiety Disorders and Schizophrenia.
Dawn Hackney, Chief Financial Officer, has over 15 years of experience in healthcare services with a broad range of general management, strategic planning, operations and financial management expertise. Prior to Meridien Research, Dawn served as the Director of Finance at CCS Medical, a leading provider of medical supplies and was honored as a finalist in Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2016 CFO of the Year. Earlier, Dawn served as the Director of Finance and Administration at CareMedic Systems, a revenue cycle management healthcare software company. Dawn has served as Treasurer for Tampa’s chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) and holds a Board of Director seat for The FreeFall Theater. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida.
Christine (Chris) Jacobs began her research experience in 1997 and has been with Meridien Research since 2002. Her expertise ranges from regulatory and financial affairs to site director making her current position as Corporate Director of Site Operations a perfect fit. She enjoys traveling to all the Meridien sites and assisting with behind the scenes activities required for quick and flawless study start up as well as troubleshooting any general operation issues.
Diane Morin has served as the Human Resources Manager for Meridien Research since 2016. Diane started her career in accounting and over 25 years she worked is such diverse companies as Catalina Island Cruises, a toy wholesaler, a meat distributor and a cable construction company. While working at a medical software company, she took on their payroll and after they made an acquisition she transitioned to HR focusing on benefits, wellness, retirement, and payroll. She specialized in benefits administrator at two large companies before accepting the position at Meridien. Diane is a member of the Florida West Coast Employees Benefits Council and has served on the Large Employer Roundtable at United Healthcare in Tampa.
