Eva-Maria Heurich, DO, FAAFP has more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical research. She has been a Principal Investigator since 2000 and recently Dr. Heurich became a Certified Principal Investigator. She has conducted almost 200 studies in indications including: osteoarthritis, pain management, diabetes and mental health.
Dr. Heurich went to school at the State University of New York – Binghamton and received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. After school, she spent almost a decade as an intern, resident and fellow and attending in the Bronx and Brooklyn, working with a very diverse patient population. She was a frequent presenter and lecturer at conferences across the United States.
She then moved to Florida and, at Florida Hospital, Dr. Heurich first became a Clinical Investigator and was on the faculty of the Family Medicine residency program. She also worked on the landmark ALLHAT trial that helped to establish the standard of care for hypertension. “My favorite trials are the outpatient general medical trials, due to the variety of indications that correlates with my experience in outpatient family medicine. I enjoy women’s health trials, since I have the additional unique age management certification,” she said.
Dr. Heurich has served as the Director of an outpatient research clinic where she oversaw general medical and pain trials and worked as Sub Investigator for psychiatry trials in: General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Hyposexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) and autism. The clinic had a Phase one unit and a separate neurology clinic.
She is now a full-time cialisfrance24.com Principal Investigator with Meridien Research. “Clinical research is extremely rewarding because we are developing and bringing to the market new and effective treatments for disease. We are advancing science,” explained Dr. Heurich. “This is very important work and I feel that I am part of something much bigger than myself.”
Meridien Research’s Maitland, FL site is currently conducting general medical clinical research studies for: Diabetes w/High Triglycerides, High Cholesterol, Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Insomnia as well as several neurology and psychiatric studies.
